So … this is goodbye.
This may be one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to write.
ASSTR has meant the world to me, for two decades. Any time a Web site hosts erotica of a controversial nature, its administrators take the chance that the site could be taken down—or worse—and risk arrest—or worse. ASSTR has stood the test of time, and all of us—authors and readers alike—are so much the better for it.
But the site is dying. The writing has been on the wall for some time now, what with a complete crash that lasted for months and then a ‘restoration’ that was only ever a band-aid. No new authors can sign on. Existing authors who lost their login information cannot access their sites. Literally the entirety of authors’ Web access is dead.
The final straw for me came mid-May 2019, when FTP access—our only remaining access—effectively crashed, making uploads difficult at best. When it took 30 minutes and several attempts to upload a single fucking HTML file, I knew I had to find an alternative, regardless of when or whether FTP access was reenabled.
That alternative is ACErotica. I hope you’ll follow me there by clicking on the ‘Enter’ button below. My uploads here—when they work—will forward to my new site, my continuing works, and my special guest authors’ works.
