Catching Robbie, Chapter 2 of 8

Robbie was just hanging up the phone when Larry came back. Larry had a big grin on his face and said to Nathan, "Your sister has tits."

"Bullshit! There's no way you two stripped in front of each other," Nathan said.

"Yeah we did too! She's got little tits, but they looked nice. And a pretty little slit between her legs. I saw it all."

"You get embarrassed changing clothes in front of Matt and me," Nathan said, "so I think you're lying to us. I don't think you saw anything."

"I'm not lying, and I'll bet if you ask her she'll tell you we did," Larry said.

"Okay, I'll ask her," Nathan said.

"Hey wait a second," Matt said. "What's the bet?"

"If she says we didn't, then I have to do a dare with your cousin," Larry said. "But if she says that we did strip, then you have to do one with him that Matt and I dream up. Deal?" Larry held out his hand to Nathan.

Robbie was hoping his cousin would back down. He was worried about what Nathan would make him do, but Matt and Larry weren't blood and he was scared about doing a dare for them even if his cousin had to do it with him."

"Deal!" Nathan said, taking Larry's hand to seal it. "Rita, come here for a second, would you?"

Rita showed up a few seconds later. "Larry said that you two really did strip in front of each other. Is that true?"

"Yeah, we did. His thing is about this long," she said, holding her thumb and finger about three inches apart, "and he's squirrel-sized."

"Circumcised," Larry corrected her.

"Oh, yeah, that's it," Rita said. "That's what his thing is."

"What does circumcised mean?" Matt asked.

Rita's face turned red. "It means, uh, that it's, uh,..."

"It means I'm cut," Larry said.

"Yeah, his thing is cut. But it's healed now; you can hardly see the scar. He had to point it out to me."

"This is all bullshit! She never saw your dick," Nathan said. "You're both lying."

"Hey, we made a bet, and she said we stripped. You lost, that's all there is to it," Larry said with a smile.

"Oh, you boys made a bet?" Rita asked. "What did you bet?"

"You already know, you and him planned all this. But it ain't going to work because you're both lying," Nathan said. He looked to Matt for support.

Matt shook his head. "It's obvious they're lying," he said, "but you made a bet and shook hands on it. If you back out now, it looks like your word isn't good anymore. And remember that bet that Larry tried to get out of last year when you set him up? How is this any different? I backed you then, even though I knew you mislead him. I guess I've got to back him. He tricked you and you fell for it."

Rita chuckled and left, closing the door to her brother's room behind her.

Matt looked at Nathan, whose face was red, but he couldn't tell if it was red from the humiliation of losing a sucker bet or red because he was angry. Maybe it was both. "Look," he said to his friend, "I'll make sure it's fair, something you can get out of. And I'll be like Robbie's friend Dale—I'll be around to make sure you're safe."

"How much did you tell her?" Nathan asked Larry.

"Nothing, I promise. Only that I wanted to make a bet with you to pay you back. I told her what to say. She doesn't know anything about your weird cousin's games." He paused for a second. "And, I told her that if we pay hide and seek again that she'll get another chance to find him. But that's all!"

His face was red and he was staring at the floor, not looking at Nathan, Matt, or Robbie.

"There's more, you're holding back," Nathan said. "What are you keeping from me?"

"You promised her she'd get to see me naked?" Robbie asked, daring to talk for the first time since Larry came back.

"No, not exactly. But I figured it would be easy for us to rig it. Make it more exciting for you, if, you know, she was going to be around at the end. But I didn't promise her."

"Okay, here's how we're going to do this," Nathan said after a few seconds of thinking about it. "We can't let Rita see Robbie's toys or we'll all be in trouble. We're going to do it fair. It won't be easy for him, but it won't be easy for Rita either. If he has bad luck, then she sees him and you're off the hook. But if he does it right, then she misses out on him and gets to see you instead. And I'll make sure you keep your end of the bargain."

"We'll each plan a mission and Robbie has to figure out how long it will take for him to get free. If Robbie can get free within 125% of the time he guessed then he's done. But if he takes too long then we take his clothes and head home. And we tell Rita where he is. If he can hide and get past her, then he still wins. If not, then I guess she gets to see him naked."

"Robbie will plan the first mission. It will be outside, but he'll pick the spot and how he's bound. It will be just like when he's alone. Since it's his plan he should know better than anyone how long it will take him to get free." He looked at Robbie and said, "But don't make it too easy or I won't count it."

Nathan looked back to his friends and said, "And we won't interfere unless he gets in trouble. I'll plan the second mission, Matt the third. And then it will be your turn Larry. But the mission you choose will be no harder than the others. Each mission will be designed so that it can be completed without a lot of risk of getting caught, but just like when Robbie plays at home, there will always be a risk. Any questions?"

"Do I have to be naked?" Robbie asked. "I don't normally ever play naked; it would be too embarrassing if I were to get caught."

"Yeah, you play naked. Just think how thrilling it will be."

"And you'll both be naked for my mission," Larry said. "It's going to be so cool."

Those words were still playing through Robbie's mind as he fell asleep that night.
