There's Nothing Wrong with Anglo-Saxon. Smart & thoughtful writers who would never think of writing "he perambulated along the asphalt serpent" when "he walked down the street" is clearer and more concise will happliy say "he tongued the center of her being" for "he licked her cunt." Although for certain narrative effects this is appropriate, more often than not, the writers are simply striving not to be "vulgar." If you need elaborate circumlocutions or awkward medical terminology to refer to acts or bodyparts, you may need to ask yourself whether you really want to be writing about them at all.
