| Janelle Finds Her Calling, Chapter Five I appreciate your patience dear readers and hope to pick up the pace a bit. Honestly, because of my insecurity, getting positive e-mails are a motivation for me. That first night Janelle 'babysat' the Baskin twins ended with her still wearing the diaper underneath a pretty, yellow summer dress from the twins closet that, somehow, fit perfectly. The twins sat 'Baby Girl' down and made her up to look like Belle, the princess from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," which happened to be the twins favorite. Janelle nicely fit the role, with her long, brown hair and dark green eyes. Maeve did mot of the facial makeup while Birkita worked on her hair. This was Birkita's first attempt on a real person after years of working on dolls. The twins loved doing each others makeup and were getting quite good at it. To have a real-life doll was like getting an early Christmas present. Birkita did a good job, although the bun looked more like a pin cushion with stray hairs pointing out at different angles. The twins' mother, Sebnem, had called an hour earlier to say she was on her way home. When she arrived, she was a little startled to see Janelle and not Cat, but did mention how beautiful Janelle looked, which made the 14-year-old blush. Birkita took Janelle's hand and started telling her mother about Janelle, and how Cat was getting ready to start college in the fall. "We just love Janelle, mom," Birkita said. "Of course we really liked Cat too but both of us just seemed to fall under Janelle's spell." The mother, knowing her daughters taste in Disney characters, nodded. She agreed, without too much discussion, to allow Janelle to become her daughters exclusive caretaker for the rest of the summer. Sebnem would be gone every weekend and for two weeks near the end of August. Janelle, her cheeks red from, not rogue, but actual blushing, agreed. That made the twins extremely happy. Janice, Janelle's 38-year-old mother, noticed how happy her daughter looked when she came home that evening and never once mentioned her change of dress. She was just happy Janelle wasn't wearing the baggy clothes she left in. "I have a real baby-sitting job for the summer mom," Janelle said. "And it's going to be so easy. The Baskin twins are way smart, and like, won't be a problem." Janice cold only smile. It seemed in the space of four hours her daughter had blossomed. Janice became curious about the twins and wondered about them. Janice, who had a secret sex life she shared with her husband, just might have to do a little investigating of her own. |
